It depends heavily on the photo. High-contrast subjects with plain backgrounds — pets, portraits, silhouettes, landmarks — reproduce well. Busy scenes, soft gradients and fine detail are much harder to capture in thread, so results on complex photos are more stylized than photo-realistic. The preview lets you judge before stitching.
